Minority Seats

The Linguistic Minority (Sindhi) status to the Institute is sanctioned by Government of Maharashtra.

51% seats of sanctioned intake, course-wise, are reserved for candidates belonging to SINDHI community.

Institute Level Seats

20% seats of total sanctioned intake, course-wise, are available as Institute Level Seats.

Centralized Admission Processs(CAP)

29% seats of total sanctioned intake course-wise are available under Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

  • Only eligible candidates belonging to SINDHI community can apply for admission under Minority Quota.
  • All eligible candidates (Sindhi as well as Non-Sindhi) can apply for admission under “Institute Level Seats”.
  • Candidates willing to take admission under “Minority Quota” and/or “Institute Level Seats” are required to obtain the application form from Institute Office and submit completely filled form in the Institute Office on or before the last date prescribed for this purpose.
  • Candidates willing to take admission through CAP, can contact “Application Receiving Center” (ARC) designated by Director of Technical Education (DTE), for obtaining and submitting application form.
  • All eligible candidates belonging to SINDHI community can fill application form for Minority Seats, Institute Level Seats and Seats under CAP. These candidates in their own interest, shall fill up three separate forms one for each category. Two application forms (Minority Seats and Institute Level Seats) shall be obtained and submitted in the Institute Office and one application (Seats under CAP) shall be obtained and submitted to the designated ARC.
  • All eligible candidates other than SINDHI can fill two application forms : One for Institute Level seats and other for Seats under CAP. Application for Institute Level Seats shall be obtained and submitted in the Institute Office, whereas application form Seats under CAP shall be obtained and submitted to the designated ARC.

Seats available for Out of Maharashtra (OMS) candidates

The seats remaining vacant, if any, after offering admissions to all Maharashtra candidates on the merit list will be offered to the eligible candidates from the states other than Maharashtra State as per the following guidelines :

  • These admissions are made on the basis of inter se merit of the OMS candidate.
  • All OMS candidates will be considered as General Category candidates and must fulfill the eligibility condition as mentioned in the "Eligibility Criteria".
  • The percentage of out side Maharashtra candidates so admitted should not exceed 20% of the sanctioned intake for any course in the institution.
